I’m not gonna deny it: before I visit a new city, Pauline Egge’s blog Petite Passport is my go-to resource to discover the most awesome restaurants, shops and places to stay.
So it happened that on our way to The Hague I checked her blog for the coolest spots in town. That’s when I stumbled upon South of Houston. I checked the menu and knew this was the place I wanted to have dinner that night.
After a long day in the car and both museums, we finally made it to Het Plein, the main square in The Hague. We lucked out on this one as they had just one table left that night.
Now, I’m a sucker for beautiful restaurant interiors and this one did not disappoint. I loved every single detail of it. Very New York, totally my style. The food wasn’t too shabby either: I had one of the best burgers in a long time!
On to the dessert now. Hold your horses: the Oreo sundae (home-made!) was to die for. Hands down, the best sundae I ever had. Looking at these pictures has me mouthwatering all over again.
If you ever happen to be in The Hague, do not hesitate to visit this place as I’m pretty sure you’ll love it as much as I do. They also happen to have the most beautiful terrace for those long, hot summer nights. Perfect or what?
Sure does look modern and luxurious 🙂
Very nice place 🙂
That Oreo sundae looks to die for!
Oh, but it was! Unfortunately it has been removed from the menu ever since. 🙁
