We arrived in a winter wonderland in Brussels on Saturday morning (special thanks to Jemke who drove up to Brussels all the way from Bruges) and got to enjoy the most beautiful brunch ever, powered by Alpro. Think all kinds of Alpro products combined with pastry, fresh fruit, granola and personalized (!) pancakes. This is how events are done, obviously.
After a while we were also treated to a morning concert and then it was time to head to our workshops. Jemke and I participated in the food photography workshop, while Liesbeth discovered all the secrets of raw food ingredients.
Emilie of Griottes was the one who gave us all the inside information on food styling for photography. It was actually pretty interesting. She gave us a few of tips and tricks and compared a couple of photos: right versus wrong. She also made a small setup in which she explained how we should work and then it was up to us to try and take a couple of photos. I took quite a few notes during the workshop but instead of sharing them right away, I will try to include them in a future post featuring on food photography. That will allow me to try a couple of different things as well and put my newly-gained knowledge into practice.
A special thanks goes out to Alpro for inviting me and my friends for this amazing brunch.
while I was a guest of alpro, of course all my opinions are my own.
