I started my birthday celebrations early this year with a Vanden Broele Birthday Breakfast at work. Since many of us share a January birthday we decided to put together a breakfast buffet for our colleagues.
Fresh baked goods on a Friday morning, it’s not easy to say no to, isn’t it? I think I might add that our colleagues enjoyed every bit of it. It was particular nice because it gets you to sit together as a group. Otherwise all one does is quickly pick up that slice of cake and head back to his or her own desk.
Even our most healthy colleagues devoured the delicious pastry goods, I think that speaks for itself, doesn’t it?
I secretly hope this will kick off a new tradition, a tradition that I wouldn’t mind at all. If you’ll excuse me now, I think I might have to work on shedding all of the croissants I had this past Friday. I bet it’s safe to say I’m good for the next half year or so.
