twin peaks

The morning we left San Francisco we first visited Twin Peaks before driving off to Monterey and Big Sur. We waited until the final moments in San Francisco to experience this breathtaking view and it proved to be the best moment to do so.

San Francisco stole my heart. It captured a place in my top cities in the world list and being able to remember these final moments there with the view from Twin Peaks is just amazing. I’ve seen many skylines before, but this somehow got to me. I was so sad to leave this place, even though there were so many more exciting places ahead of us at that time.

Looking back at the whole trip, this is still one of my favorite moments. I savoured every minute we were on top even though it was just for a short while (a road trip wears you out, it really does) and I am so happy I have these photos as a beautiful memory.

  1. This is quite an amazing view indeed. San Francisco is one of the USA cities that I’m most curious about. Beautiful pictures, as always! =)

  3. So beautiful! In all the years I lived in the Bay Area I never visited Twin Peaks. Of course now that I’ve moved it’s on my list. 🙂 I guess I had a tendency to look outside of where I lived for travel. I’m trying to be better at that!

    1. Aren’t we all like that? I always look way outside of where I live for travel, so I have to remind myself that there’s a lot to see around here as well.

That said, you should really visit Twin Peaks whenever you can. It’s so stunning!
