From time to time I feel the need to escape the daily rush of life and nothing serves me better than relaxing for a couple of hours at the spa. When wellness platform Relaxy contacted me earlier this summer, I knew an afternoon of indulging in the sauna, jacuzzi and Turkish bath would form the perfect end to our summer vacation. By doing that in the lovely surroundings of Riad Nagiba, it even felt like we weren’t in Belgium, or at least not for four hours or so.

Before I tell you all about the hidden gem that Riad Nagiba is, I wanted to give you a short introduction to Relaxy. Their platform offers exactly what I’ve been looking for for a very long time: an overview of the best spas in the country, which you can narrow down by using the extensive search options.
What I like about the website is that everything is accessible through one site. I’ve always found it rather difficult to find the best spas around but with Relaxy that is surely not the case.
Their last minute-button is probably the biggest plus, as life (and me being a very busy bee) sometimes calls for a relaxing moment just short in time.

When looking back at the pictures from our afternoon in Eeklo there’s a term that keeps popping back up in my head: holiday resort. Seriously, just look at that: if no one even mentioned it, you wouldn’t think you were in Belgium, right?
Anyway, upon our very welcoming arrival we were shown around the place and received a thorough explanation of how we should use all treatments available, for how long and in what order. I’m never quite sure if I’m doing the right thing there, but now I got all the information I need.
In between the sauna and hammam, we were able to indulge in an array of sweet treats and a delicious cup of tea.
However, let us focus on that hot tub. The hot tub is by far my husband’s favorite whenever we’re at the spa and this one did not disappoint. It was pure bliss. I could’ve spent the day in that thing. It also made me never want to leave again.
We eventually did, but not until we both were treated to a 30-minute massage each which was the best thing ever. It was a first time for both of us and boy, did I enjoy it. I felt completely relaxed afterwards. If only I could have one of these every other day or so. The one thing that would have made it a tiny bit better was if it was a couple’s massage instead of each individually.

With autumn approaching fast, a couple of hours at a wellness center are bound to conquer that winter blues that’s lurking behind the corner. There’s only one remedy here: head on over to Relaxy and find the spa that fits your needs!
