With the holiday season in full swing, there’s no denying it: pop-up shops are roaming the streets nowadays. While most of them used to be located somewhere in Ghent or Antwerp, we also get our fair deal of them in Bruges nowadays.

Among them is Opsmuk POPUP. Before launching their pop-up in the centre of Bruges, I was quite familiar with the brand as my colleague Julie was raving about the tables she had them create for her home. But now they’re also curating the most beautiful brands in their pop-up shop in Bruges. Read along to catch a glimpse of the beautiful location and what brands they are collaborating with.

Before I dig into the story of their pop-up, I owe you a small introduction of the people behind Opsmuk: Jan & Bieke. The former is quite the handyman when it comes to wood. He simply adores the material. His experience and the drive to create furniture was the main reason behind launching Opsmuk. Bieke is a graphic designer with a profound love for interior design. She’s also the one present in the shop. What a great team these two make, right?

To create a homely atmosphere at their pop-up in Bruges they teamed up with a truckload of designers. Each of the designers has a love for authentic materials and most items are handmade as well.

Charlotte Herstens
Charlotte Herstens has the most beautiful Christmas cards for sale at the shop. We don’t send out real Christmas cards since we give the amount we usually spend on them to charity, but if we were to send cards: Charlotte’s designs would definitely be my pick!

l’Atelier de Juliette
I fell head over heels in love with l’Atelier de Juliette during my visit to Opsmuk POPUP. Handmade, using the best materials, they have an adorable selection of kids goods. You’ll secretly want some items for yourself, trust me on that one.

Make it by lots of Jess
I really love my paper bag by Merci which has a nice spot at our home office. Then again, about everyone has the same paper bag nowadays. When I stumbled on the hand painted paper bags by Make it by lots of Jess, I knew these will earn there place at our home one day.

BAR jewels by Wolfers + Deriemaeker
For those of you who don’t know it yet, I have a profound love for jewellery. I like it to be authentic yet simple nowadays, but I also like an eye-catcher from time to time. When talking about the latter, I believe BAR jewels by Wolfers + Deriemaeker will do the trick: their stunning designs had me lingering at their jewellery covered by belljars just a while longer. They also just opened their own store in the centre of Bruges, but more on that later.

Balls & Needles
Looking for cozy knitwear, scarves or hats? Balls & Needles has a great selection of items available at the shop!

Opsmuk
Of course the Opsmuk POPUP wouldn’t be complete without a selection of their own (self-titled) line, Opsmuk. We’re still in need for a decent coffee table and the furniture in the shop really convinced me that Opsmuk might be the one brand we were looking for all this time.
