To create this I stopped by our local flower shop where I spotted some beautiful twigs with shades of red. They were perfect to go with my deep red table cloth and the baubles in our Christmas tree. However, I was in need of something green to go with them. At first, I thought I would go with a couple of branches from our hedge but then I saw these beautiful eucalyptus leaves. Perfect or what?
I didn’t bind these together or anything, I just assembled these on the table and put a couple of simple candlelights in between them. Our guests loved the table decoration and I hope I can keep everything for our next dinner party this Saturday (I basically bought all the eucalyptus leaves they had left at the flower shop).
If you take a closer look at the pictures you will notice the hostess gift I made for our guests: chocolate chip cookies. These are a personal favourite of mine and have been on the menu for quite a couple of times. They’re so easy to make and everybody loves them. I think I might bake these again for our annual New Year’s dinner with the parents this weekend, since I know my dad loves these.
oh wauw! ziet er super super mooi uit. I can’t imagine xmas is already over!
Dankjewel, Kim! Ja, ik vind die periode na de feestdagen heel wat minder leuk. Gelukkig is er dan zowel mijn verjaardag als die van de hubby om naar uit te kijken.
